Tiffney Widner was born and raised in Detroit, and is a proud graduate of the Detroit Public School System. She attended Howard University in Washington, DC for both undergraduate and medical school studies graduating in 2010 and 2014 respectively. After completing her education, she returned home to Children’s Hospital of Michigan for residency. She stayed on at Children’s as an academic fellow in the General Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine clinic. Currently, Tiffney works at Children’s Hospital of Michigan as an attending, and through that position, she is also the pediatrician at Vista Maria in Dearborn Heights, MI.

Being a pediatrician has always been a personal goal, and having the chance to serve in the community that has built and shaped her is very meaningful to her. Although she doesn’t have children of her own, she has always served as a surrogate mother for the children in the Detroit community and enjoy spending time with them. She began her service as an at-large board member with the MIAAP in 2018, and she’s happy to be on board.
