Abeba Berhane, Md, FAAP President
Dr. Berhane is originally from Grand Rapids, MI, where she currently practices at Helen DeVos Children’s Outpatient Clinic. She completed her undergraduate work at University of Michigan. She received a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Anthropology. Dr. Berhane completed medical school at University of Michigan with a Distinction in Research in 2010. Her residency training was at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. After residency, she joined Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital/Spectrum Health System in 2013. She is also an Assistant Professor with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She is currently a member of the national AAP committee on Practice and Ambulatory Medicine (COPAM).
