MIAAP creates programs and services to meet the needs of our members and our member’s patients. Programs fall into two categories:

      1. Pediatric Foundation grant funded programs such as Screen for 3, previously known as Assessing Better Child Development (ABCD).
      2. Member service programs operated through the MIAAP such as Childhood Obesity Screening and Treatment Training (COSTT).

Screen for 3

Screen for 3 was a statewide initiative to promote the utilization of standardized, evidence-based developmental screenings in pediatric practices to screen and assess every child for developmental delays or special health care needs.  The Pediatric Foundation of Michigan has received funding to train and support pediatric practices in the implementation of developmental screening and to make referrals to community and medical services for children who have demonstrated or are at risk of delays.
